Overview

Before the program

Students receive a short pre-read on how AI language models work and why the way you communicate with them changes the output, so Session 1 starts with context already in place.

Week 1 - From Foundations to Real Applications

Session 1 | Friday, Oct 2
Foundations and mental models. Understanding AI as a prediction system. Core principles of clarity, context, examples, and iteration for effective prompting and communication.

Session 2 | Saturday, Oct 3
Advanced techniques and workflows. Chain-of-thought prompting, task decomposition, few-shot learning, and structured outputs. Debugging strategies for refining AI responses through iteration.

Session 3 | Saturday, Oct 3
Domain applications and ethics. Applying prompts across writing, coding, research, and creative domains. Critical evaluation of AI limitations, biases, hallucinations, and ethical usage.

Session 4 | Sunday, Oct 4
Capstone project workshop. Students develop personalized AI systems solving real problems. Project documentation, iteration logs, presentations, and peer feedback sessions.

Project submission deadline: Oct 9

After the program: Students complete their project documentation, submit for publishing, and receive their certificate. They walk away with a structured approach to working with AI that applies across writing, research, coding, and creative work.
