About
For Grades 9-12. A two-week internship on the Futurowise content team. Students research what students and parents ask AI tools and write articles that answer those questions. They go through real editing rounds and publish on Medium and Substack under their own byline. They also audit how ChatGPT and Gemini describe Futurowise, and learn Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): structuring writing so AI systems can read and cite it.
Why it matters for the future
Students now ask ChatGPT for recommendations instead of searching Google, and get one answer with a few names in it. Being one of those names depends on published writing worth repeating, structured so machines can read it. Students learn both halves: writing, and getting that writing found.
Careers in the field
• Content Strategist / Editor
• SEO and GEO Specialist
• Digital Marketing Manager
• Journalist / Technical Writer
• Brand and Communications Manager
Outcomes
✔ Learn how AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini retrieve and cite sources, and how that differs from Google ranking.
✔ Build a GEO audit of what ChatGPT and Gemini say about Futurowise, then turn it into approved article briefs.
✔ Publish edited articles on the Futurowise Medium and Substack publications under your own byline, with links you keep.
✔ Apply your writing to contests like The New York Times Student Editorial Contest and the John Locke Essay Competition.

Why students choose Futurowise
The cohort size being small made the meetings very interactive which I really liked about this program. Moreover, I enjoyed researching for the project given to us, which were then very well evaluated and we were given valuable feedback about the real-world applicability.

I loved that we got to actually build and test our own AI agents instead of just learning about them theoretically. It was really fun seeing my idea turn into a working prototype. I’d definitely recommend it to my friends if want to learn how to build something themselves. It’s practical, interactive, and you get to leave with your own working agent.

Futurowise's Carbon Credit Trading program broke down complex concepts, from trading mechanics to sustainability regulations, and connected every idea to how real markets actually work. I left with a clear understanding of something most adults find difficult to explain.

One thing that truly stood out to me was our instructor’s attitude and support, as he made the environment feel like a safe space, encouraging each of us to speak out our thoughts, offering us frequent smiles and nods.
