Session 1 - May 23: Climate Change, Sustainability, and Policy Foundations
An introduction to climate change, greenhouse gases, and global warming, along with ecosystems, sustainability, global climate goals, and why environmental action matters. The session also covers how governments and institutions respond through climate policy.
Session 2 - May 24: Carbon Credits Explained
A focused overview of carbon credits, including how they are created, verified, regulated, and used by companies to offset emissions. Students understand the role of carbon credits in global climate action.
Session 3 - May 30: Carbon Markets, Trading, and Project Design
An expert-led session on how carbon credit markets work, including pricing, trading, and real market examples. Students begin building a simple carbon project or trading model, evaluating emissions impact and pricing decisions.
Session 4 - May 31: Carbon Project Simulation and Showcase
Students complete and present a carbon project or trading strategy, simulating real-world decision-making. The session concludes with expert feedback and guidance on how climate professionals present insights.
Final Submission - June 4
Final project submission and certificate awarded.
